Introduction to Global Warming

Global warming is a very and serious problem on our earth. As we know the global warming is about the term used to describe a gradual increase in the average temperature of the Earth's atmosphere and its oceans, a change that is believed to be permanently changing the Earth’s climate forever. In this essay I will explain some causes of Global Warming and why its serious problem, then I will tell you my opinion about this problem.

There are many causes that cause global warming on the earth’s climate. The biggest cause of global warming is that the carbon dioxide released when fossil fuels like oil and coal are burned for energy. Another cause is an increase in global average air and ocean temperatures, widespread melting of snow and ice, and rising global average sea level. A third cause of global warming is that the average temperature of the Earth has risen between 0.4 and 0.8 °C over the past 100 years. Also, the increased volumes of carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases released by the burning of fossil fuels, land clearing, agriculture, and other human activities, are believed to be the primary sources of the global warming that has occurred over the past 50 years. The global warming is very serious problem because it can be harmful for human’s health. Also it will cause several diseases in people’s health in the future.

In my opinion, we have to fight global warming by saving energy. There are many simple steps we can take right now to reduce global warming pollution. First we have to choose an efficient vehicle. A car that gets 20 miles per gallon will emit about 50 tons of carbon dioxide over its lifetime. A car getting 40 mpg will emit half that much. Second, drive smart. Get your engine tuned up and keep your tires inflated -- both help fuel efficiency. Third, Drive less. When possible, choose alternatives to driving (public transit, biking, walking, carpooling), and bundle your errands together so you'll make fewer trips. Third Buy energy-efficient appliances. Use your consumer power when buying appliances by shopping for energy-efficient models. Lastly, replace your light bulbs with compact fluorescent bulbs.

What I liked about your post is that your essay is well organized. First you gave a general idea about the global warming, then you wrote about the causes of the global warming and you concluded most of the causes.I agree totally with you about co2 is most cause of global warming. Keep on the good work and I hope to see your next post.

your post was well organized. u write about the global warmaing and what causes it. and i think that the most of your essay depends on the figures and percentages and this is a good thing so that the readers will have idea about the global warming in figures
